1. Select Conversion Type

Choose one of the three conversion types based on the file you need to process:

• Monthly TB: For standard monthly trial balance files.
• Forecast & Budget: For files containing forecast or budget data across multiple months.
• FCCS Fortress: For files specifically formatted for the FCCS Fortress system.

2. Choose Number Format

It is crucial to select the correct number format that matches your source file to ensure accurate calculations.

• US/UK (e.g. 1,234.56): Select this if your are loading:
  • any Excel files (xls, xlsx)
  • CSV file where numbers use a comma (,) as a thousands separator and a period (.) as the decimal point.
• EU (e.g. 1.234,56): Select this if your numbers use a period (.) as a thousands separator and a comma (,) as the decimal point.

Warning: Choosing the wrong format will lead to incorrect conversion results.

3. Upload and Convert

Click "Choose File" to select a CSV or Excel file from your computer. The output file name will be generated automatically, but you can change it if you wish. Click "Convert" to start the process.

4. Validate and Download

After conversion, a validation summary will pop up showing the total sum for each numeric column. Please review these totals. You should expect to see "0" in numeric totals since you are loading Trial Balance data. In the event the columns are materially different from zero, double check the selection of conversion type and toggle the number format selector.

If they look correct, you can close the pop-up and see a preview of the converted data. Finally, click "Download Converted File" to save the result.
